Running

I’ve started running at last and I’m up to two miles without a stop. Pretty impressive for somebody who could barely make it a quarter-mile only one month ago. It seems that you can build your aerobic capacity very quickly provided you take it slow. I think the best advice I received was to run ‘as slowly as possible.’ Turns out, that’s what works up your endurance most quickly. After that, you can focus on speed – and the speed has come. I’m down from 12 minute to 10 minute miles already. I followed beginners running program suggested by Cool Running: “The Couch-to-5K Running Plan.”
